Licenses on server are perpetual, meaning they will not expire, but we will be unable to offer support on server licenses after your maintenance period expires or from February 2, 2024.
Yes, as long as Atlassian allows to release new updates (until 2024), we will continue maintaining and optimizing your JSU experience on all hostings.

Billing & licensing FAQs
You would need to take into consideration all your costs of Atlassian software and all your apps. We can only guide you for JSU costs. You can calculate your cloud costs using the Atlassian Cloud pricing calculator. If you are based in Switzerland, we can recommend beecom as a solution partner to help and advise you on migration.
Yes, you may still use JSU after the maintenance end date of your purchased license. However, you will no longer have access to support or updates.
In Cloud, this is not yet possible.
In Server & Data Centre, it is possible to extend your trial up to 5 times (total of 6 months). You can generate a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace if you click „Try it free“ and you’ll be directed to generate a new license. Paste the license key into the app listing from your Atlassian product and you are set.
The app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you’re running Jira Software (500 users) and Jira Service Management (25 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps.
Cloud products are billed based on users. Go to the Atlassian Cloud Pricing Calculator where you can estimate your bill for any Cloud products. You simply put in how many users you have, the apps you want pricing for, and the calculator will do the work for you.
To request a refund or exchange within 30 days of payment, contact Atlassian’s Customer Advocate Team.
We have developed JSU for Jira Cloud to have just as much functionality as the on-premise version. However, Atlassian’s free Jira Cloud Migration Assistant does not support migration of workflow extensions currently. When migrating workflows, you will need to manually rebuild all the post-functions, conditions, and validators from JSU. We are working closely with Atlassian to build an API which will make your migration process much easier and will keep you posted on the progress. For more information, please check here.
For migration from Server to Cloud or Server to Data Center you would need to purchase a new JSU license. It is important to know that JSU is part of Atlassian’s Cloud loyalty discount program which provides discounts based on specific requirements. We don’t charge customers to migrate, other than the cost of the product itself. All our prices are publicly available on the marketplace.
We participate in Atlassian’s cloud loyalty and dual licensing programs which offer discounts to customers with 1,000+ users migrating to Cloud. Since some organizations may not qualify for this program, we are willing to work with customers who are migrating if there will be significant overlap in license duration for the same product during the migration period or if budgeting is a concern.
